Who we are
This site and the Marketing Readiness Check at audit.jymedialab.my are operated by JY Media Lab Sdn. Bhd. (Business Registration No. 1443227-H), Room 1, 22-1, Jln Radin Bagus 3, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, 57000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data we collect and how we use it, in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
What we collect
When you complete the Marketing Readiness Check and request your report, we collect:
- Your name, business name, email address and phone number
- Your answers about your business: what it sells, its industry, how long it has been running, your goals, your online presence and your marketing budget range
- The readiness score, tier and related quality flags our system calculates from your answers (for example, whether the answers suggest you are the decision maker), which we use to prioritise follow-up
- Basic technical signals used to block spam, including a limit on submissions per network address per day
If you contact us on WhatsApp, email or phone, we receive whatever you choose to send us there.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 on jymedialab.my and audit.jymedialab.my to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site (pages viewed, steps completed in the check). GA4 uses cookies. We use this to improve the site and the tool, not to identify you personally.
Why we collect it
We use your data to score your check, send you the report you asked for, respond when you contact us, follow up about your results, and improve the tool. We do not sell your personal data.
Where it lives
Leads are stored in our secure database and reports are sent through our email delivery provider (SendGrid). Our sites run on reputable cloud hosting (Vercel and Railway). Access is limited to the JY Media Lab team.
How long we keep it
We keep lead records for as long as we need them to follow up on your enquiry and to improve the tool. If you want your data removed sooner, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights under the PDPA
You may ask to access or correct the personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent to further contact at any time. If you want your data removed from our records, ask and we will do that too. Email marketing@jymedialab.com and we will action it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with the date above.
Terms of Use
The tool is guidance, not a guarantee
The Marketing Readiness Check is free and gives a directional read on your marketing readiness based on the answers you provide. It is not financial, legal or investment advice, and a score is not a promise of business results. Decisions you make from it are your own.
Honest inputs
The check is for business owners assessing their own business. Automated, bulk or fake submissions are not permitted, and we apply technical limits to block them.
Our content
The content, design and code of jymedialab.my and audit.jymedialab.my belong to JY Media Lab Sdn. Bhd. You may not copy or republish them without permission.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, JY Media Lab Sdn. Bhd. is not liable for losses arising from use of this site or the free check. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
